Cheryl is a vivacious on-air personality who has dedicated over a decade to sharing her modern fresh approach to Design and DIYs. Shortly after graduating from Ryerson’s School of Interior Design, she had no idea that auditioning for HGTV’s Designer Superstar Challenge would take her on a journey that would completely change her life. She’s had the pleasure of meeting Michelle Obama and had her work featured on Rachel Ray.
Her latest show Reno, Set, Go! aired on Discovery Family Channel USA and HGTV Canada. Cheryl has worn many hats over the years, designing over 50 restaurants on Restaurant Impossible, Restaurant Makeover, Restaurant Takeover, known as the feisty designer on Colin & Justin’s Home Heist, Rooms that Rock and resident judge on Game of Homes Vancouver. When she’s not filming, she loves to share her expert advice and experiences on the Marilyn Denis Show and as a keynote speaker for various Home & Garden Shows across North America.
She’s a natural on camera, is always up for a challenge and is often found dancing, laughing, singing or a combination of all three!
Cheryl has the unique ability to translate that extra special vibe that the client is looking for and then take it to the next level! The vision is clear; simply creating modern fresh spaces with an eclectic mix of details and moments of discovery; which tell the story of who YOU are. It all comes together with your ideas, your dreams, and with Cheryl’s help, your space is elevated and infused with JOY!
Cheryl created her own YouTube channel “Simply Cher Cher” – part of Kin Community, where you’ll find inspiring Design and Wellness tips to help you add joy and meaning to your life. Paying close attention to her mentors, Cheryl quickly learned the ropes and produces, films, and edits her own videos; showing you her multifaceted nature. Through Kin Community (YouTube’s #1 network for women), Cheryl has collaborated with leading brands like Canon, 3M, Cadbury, McCain and Wendy’s, Walmart, Food Network Canada and created workshop DIYs for CF Sherway Gardens/ The Concierge Club.
Cheryl is constantly trying to push the limits, always trying to wear as many hats as possible. She has art directed for lifestyle television shows like Disaster DIY, Superstar Hair Challenge, Design Interns as well as styled for commercial clients like HGTV, Sony and Ecobee.
